"Poor, poor little kitten," A voice spoke from the darkness. The golden kitten stood rooted to the spot, his eyes wide with terror. The other cat emerged from the shadows, a grim look on his face,"I saw what they did to you."
"Y--you did?"
"Yes. No fellow cat should be treated this way."
"Why would they leave me?" The kitten pleaded, his recent loss evident in his eyes.
The shadow cat sighed,"Who knows what drove them to leave you, little one. Unfortunately, they are not coming back for you. You're one of us now."
"Us?"
"A Street Cat. Others who have been abandoned. You are welcome to stay with us. We can help you."
The kitten pondered on his options. Stay alone with no knowledge of what to do or go with this strange cat and possibly have a new home?
The kitten studied the black cat in front of him,"Alright. I'll come with you."
"An excellent choice," The black cat purred,"What is your name, little one?"
"My family called me Tiger. Who are you?"
"My name is Zeel and I am the leader of the Street Cats. Come, it's getting dark. We don't want to be around when the dogs come out."
Tiger followed his new friend deeper into the alleyways where he would begin his new life as a Street Cat.

Yes..Waffle isn't known as Waffle just yet. I'll get to that eventually. What do you guys think of Waffle's story thus far?
