Merry Christmahannukwanzikah..

Thu Dec 17, 2009, 5:08 PM
..or however you spell that thing. I forgot. Anyway. Wow! 8 days 'til Christmas, fellow Deviants! And here I thought the month was going by slowly. I know some of you guys are already celebrating so I will wish you a Happy Hannukah. I don't know if it's started yet or if it starts later in the month but I will wish those who celebrate it a Happy Yule. Those who celebrate Christmas and Kwanzaa I will wish you an early Merry Christmas and Happy Kwanzaa. Did I forget anyone?
You know, I've always wondered what it would be like to celebrate other winter holidays besides Christmas. What do you do on Hannukah? Or Kwanzaa? Or Yule? I think it would be fun to experience a different holiday for once. I don't know if that idea would be excepted due to religious boundaries or anything like that but, boundaries are boundaries and I wouldn't want to anger anybody.

A bit of an update from my last journal: I am feeling much better. I was just having a very crappy day yesterday. Today is much better. I'll be working with my cousin tomorrow, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at her mom's flower shop and earn some Christmas money. I am so thankful for that opportunity and it has definitely lifted my spirits. I'm going to a Christmas party at my friend's house on Saturday. That should also help lighten my mood.

Well, I believe that's all. Until next time, later gators. :iconalligatorplz:

Hello fellow Deviants. Well..I'm a little stressed. I can't find a job to save my life. My Wacom is out of commission because I can't get any new nibs for it. I still have Christmas shopping to do and no money to do it with. I've become a bit of a paranoid hypochondriac. I'm constantly worrying about my dad's health and what's going to happen to him. I'm a little stressed about my boyfriends wish to go into the Navy. I have no money for gas. Nobody is hiring. I constantly have to deal with my nagging mother. This sucks. I don't eat as much as I normally do, I am constantly shedding hair, my head hurts, I feel depressed..and everything just seems to be going to hell. But, I know that others are going through situations much worse than me..so I have to keep a little hope alive.

The Epiphany II

Fri Dec 11, 2009, 5:39 PM
Hello fellow Deviants. How many of you here love animals? I was just talking to my boyfriend about animals and how people treat them. We talked about how people just euthanize them instead of sending them to another shelter or to a place where there's a list of people waiting to adopt a pet. We talked about how pets could be saved if vets were 24/7 operations just like human hospitals. Why don't we have that? We can keep Wal-Mart open for 24 hours a day just so people can shop early in the morning but we can't keep vets open to save an animals life? What if Hospitals closed and you couldn't save a loved one? Well, animals are loved ones too, are they not?
I think I've figured out what I want to try to do in life. Forget my shop and possibly even the film industry. I want to be the one that will love the animals that nobody else will love. I want to help get them the medical attention they need. I want to help them find the homes that will love them forever. I want to save animals lives that would otherwise just be euthanized and forgotten. It's time to do a little research and figure out how to go about doing this. Of course, it would most likely run on donations. I would like the vet part to be a free clinic. The shelter portion would be a no-kill shelter.

Do you think this is do-able? Or am I dreaming a little too big? Let me know what you guys think. Until next time. Later gators. :iconalligatorplz:

Edit: Ok..wow. I think I sorta got a little worked up here. Maybe I won't completely give up the film industry or my shop but I will try to help animals to the best of my abilities. No matter what, I won't leave them in the dust even if it means just donating towels and newspapers to the animal shelter.

Kitty Questions

Sun Dec 6, 2009, 4:20 PM
Hello fellow Deviants. My ongoing battle with my dad to get a cat continues. I would love to have a fluffy little kitten to play with and get me off this freakin' computer for once. I don't know much about cats so I'm trying to educate myself. I know a lot of my friends have cats so I'm asking you guys: What's a few good things about having a cat? Any bad aspects? About how much do you spend on your cat's food on a monthly basis? What about kitty litter? How much does a typical vet visit cost? What about grooming? What's the best way to keep a cat from clawing furniture? How do you keep a cat from climbing on counters? How do you keep a male cat from spraying on all of your stuff? Is it a good idea to take a cat out for a walk? How often should you give a cat Catnip? What kind of milk is good for cats? Whoah! So many questions. Maybe I should just get the ASPCA Guide to Cats lol. Maybe you guys can answer some of them though. I'd really appreciate it. Well, until next time. Later gators. :iconalligatorplz:
